So, day one from the Magic Kingdom, and I figured I would write my blog post for the day while I had a chance - sitting down, eating dinner. It's been a crazy, long day already, but also amazingly fun as well. I got my gaming in on the plane this morning, in which I finally broke in my brand new 3DS XL that I upgraded to this last weekend. I had refused to play any more games on the regular 3DS until I upgraded, as I wrote about before, because I could no longer tolerate the small screen of the regular. Anyway, I played Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, which I picked up in conjecture with the XL system. I loved the original one, back on the GameCube, and have been clamoring to dive into this sequel. Thankfully, it has lived up to my expectations tenfold. The game play is awesome, although I wish I had a second analog stick to control the vacuum, but it works as it is. The humor and writing of the game are surprisingly thoughtful and brilliant at times. The most important aspect of the game, however, is the 3D effects, which this game absolutely shines in. It is one of the best uses of the 3D technology. Again, more proof that Nintendo knows how to develop for their hardware better than anyone else. I can't wait to play more of this game, and I'm happy I get to do it on the awesome 3DS. But for now, I have California Adventures to get to.
