So here’s the scoop. I’ve been working here and there trying to refresh my memory on how this whole website used to work. Before, I had it down to a T, and it ran like clockwork. Now, well, I think the hands of the clock are stuck and my only hope of dislodging them is to shake the whole damn piece silly.

I think I have the basics down of what all did what, how to update and change and all that good stuff. But as I work on this a little at a time, I seem to run in to one obstacle after another. For one, I my computer is getting old and slow. I have only one monitor now, so website design and upkeep is a bit more challenging than it was when I had the free range of a split screen dual monitors setup.

Secondly, my Photoshop program has pretty much rolled over and died, as it freezes up every time I open the damn thing up. It says I don’t have enough virtual memory to run it any longer, but no matter what cleaning or purging I do to my computer, it doesn’t seem to want to cooperate.

So that pretty much sucks.

Other than that, everything is going great. I just updated the Blog, which I’m digging a lot. And I’ve been in communications with Seth (you all remember Seth, right?) about how to get this ship back up off the ground. He’s had some good ideas and so have I, but here lies another challenge. Due to some legal problems I ran into a while back (another story for another day, I swear), I can’t do a lot of the things we were doing on the Noyse, more specifically, the editorials. Well, we can, just not with any pictures. Also, some sections bombed miserably on this site, like the columns, reviews, sports and XXX sections. They are all sections I would LIKE to do again, but I was pretty much doing it all for them, and I simply don’t have that kind of time anymore.

Anyway, the only section that really stood out and never was a problem was the Self Expression section, which after looking back at it, was ironically what The Noyse was all about in the first place. The Noyse and Self Expression go hand in hand. So my plan is to take that part of the Old Noyse, and focus the new Noyse around that.

That, and the Blog. I really would like to make this a reputable Blog. I’m even thinking (and trying to figure out how) I can have more than just myself make posts on it, like a community blog. But for now, everyone is welcome to read and reply to it all they like. And I will be updating it frequently, with all sorts of stuff, to appeal to everyone’s likes.
