What kind of modeling experience do you have?
Latesia: I have been modeling since the age of 17. I have participated in car shows, tradeshows, promotional events, and various conventions. I have posed nude for artists and photographers (artistic). I am currently working on more self promotion skills and tools…Always looking for work ;-)
How did you get into modeling?
Latesia: Well, I was young and very skinny at the time. I assume that people thought I had either a lovely face or a peculiar looking face because they’d comment on how I should go into modeling. At the time I didn’t give it much thought, but after hearing it repeatedly…I became interested and set out to have photographs taken with a local photographer at the age of 17.
What is it about modeling that you enjoy?
Latesia: I enjoy the meeting and interaction with people. In this business, you have the chance to meet with lots of beautiful and wonderful people that you wouldn’t have met otherwise. You can travel to places that you may not have traveled to also. It’s really fun and sometimes a lot of hard work, but it’s good and plus…it brings in extra cash!
Is there anything in modeling that you would really like to try and haven’t got the chance to yet? If so, what is it and why are you so interested in trying it?
Latesia: I would really like to try being photographed with a man. Classic black and white photographs of male and female together…wonderful. I would also love to do the internet thing. I have talked with some people about the opportunity and hopefully it will all work out. Reasons: A photograph of a man and a womantogether…depending on the pose, is so sensual…especially if it’s black and white. The whole internet modeling thing is interesting and it has intrigued me for a long time. I think that the idea of people seeing your photos and loving what they see and possibly paying for more images of you…just for you to show a bit of skin is great. I think the naked body is art…no reason to hide it.
What is your ultimate goal in modeling?
Latesia: I don’t quite believe I have an ultimate goal. I just want to have fun with it. I’ll grow old one day and I just want to look back and laugh at myself or cry. I’m a Nursing student at the moment and that takes priority to this side of me.
Do you have any special talents?
Latesia: I can sing. :-)
Do you have any role models or people you look up to?
Latesia: I really look up to my grandmother. She dropped out of school in the eighth grade to take care of her eight brothers and sisters because their mother was ill. They’ve all grown into beautiful and successful individuals.
If you could do a photo shoot anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Latesia: Hmm, I would have to say Durban, Africa. It’s beautiful!
What do you like to show off in pictures in particular?
Latesia: My body :-P
What is usually on your mind during a photo shoot?
Latesia: Nothing really. I’m kind of lost in the music playing on the stereo. It has to be something that will clear my mind and make me happy. Zero 7, Air, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Zap Mama, Moe, or Radiohead usually does the trick.
What are you hoping to get from being featured on The Noyse?
Latesia: I am hoping to have my photo featured someplace on the site. :-)
