Krystal
Basic Stats

Height: 5’4.5’’ (yes I’m a shorty)
Weight: 97
Measurements: 34C-24-35
Location: Orlando, FL, but I’m originally from NY
Ethnicity: Puerto Rican, Jamaican and Japanese
Occupation: Model/ Actress and for stability a part time phone customer service rep
What kind of modeling experience do you have?
Krystal: I have done print work and promotional work
How did you get into modeling?
Krystal: My mother put me in it as a child. I loved it.
What is it about modeling that you enjoy?
Krystal: The end product is my favorite, seeing the pictures and thinking “Wow, that’s really me .”. It blows my mind. Plus it’s so diverse; you’re never really doing the same thing twice. I love meeting people, going new places and seeing new things, modeling allows me to do that. The best part is that I am my own product; if a job gets well done it’s me who gets the recognition not a product/ item. It’s a business and I recognize that. I love it all.
Is there anything in modeling that you would really like to try and haven’t got the chance to yet? If so, what is it and why are you so interested in trying it?
Krystal: Runway. I’m only 5’4.5’’ and I will probably never set foot on a designer runway and it breaks my heart. I am just as fierce as the 5’9’’ models but my height which I have no control over sort of handicaps me and cuts me off from that world.
It seems so exciting and fast paced. Then the clothes are always extraordinary and although it is serious it all seems so much fun. To have the lights focused on you as you strut down in the latest outfit from the hottest designer. That would be wonderful.
Oh and a car show. I wouldn’t mind being eye candy at a car show, that’s something I haven’t had the chance to do.
What is your ultimate goal in modeling?
Krystal: To make it as far as I can go and to transfer over into acting. Modeling is just a stepping stone for other things, bigger things. I will always keep one foot in the modeling world but I also want to expand. I don’t want to limit myself.
Do you have any special talents?
Krystal: Special talents? Given the right motivation I can cry on the spot, ummm I think that’s all…
Do you have any role models or people you look up to?
Krystal: I admire Kate Moss for making it as far as she did being as short as she (by the industries standards). She has proven in many ways that height shouldn’t be the ultimate determining factor in whether or not you land a modeling job or get into a certain agency. But I wouldn’t say she’s my role model or that I look up to her, I just admire her success. I don’t really have a role model. Everyone’s path to the top has been so different, plus role models have a way of letting you down.
If you could do a photo shoot anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Krystal: This is a hard question. I’m not entirely sure. Maybe Rome. Some place full of history. I think it would be beautiful to shoot on its cobble stoned roads, little roads and in between the beautiful old structures.
What do you like to show off in pictures in particular?
Krystal: Soul. I don’t like dead pictures. There has to be life behind the eyes. I try my hardest to that.
What is usually on your mind during a photo shoot?
Krystal: “Let it show through your eyes, connect with the camera….” Basically me just reminding myself to be aware of my eye contact, my body and just my overall disposition.
What are you hoping to get from being featured on The Noyse?
Krystal: Noticed. More eyes on me means more opportunities. Exposure, exposure, exposure. The more the better.
Any other comments?
Krystal: I get a lot of questions about my ethnicity so I’ll clear that up now: Puerto Rican, Jamaican and Japanese. Like the rest of the world you can see more of my at myspace.com/krisa_boo.
